| LES AVANT-COURRIERS: organisent les tournées, l'implantation du cirque, commandent la nourriture, la litière des animaux, préparent les ordres au chef afficheur, controlent les emplacements d'implantation du cirque etc... Puis arrive le convoi avec ses roulottes, ses cages et ses remorques. Aux Etats-Unis, les grands cirques voyagent en chemin de fer.
Dans ce métier je rend hommage à Georges Luciano qui m'a beaucoup appris. Cet homme écrivain poête et administrateur avant courrier qui a oeuvré dans les plus grands établissements itinérants de France, m'a appris ce métier, qui consiste à préparer l'arrivée du cirque dans les villes, en visitant les différentes administrations (Prefecture, Mairie, gendarmerie, police locale, pompiers, voierie, service des eaux, électricité, affichage, relations publiques, presse, Sacem etc ...de se charger également des besoins en nourritures pour les animaux, de contrôler le cadastre pour éviter les dégats souterrains au moment de l'implantation du chapiteau, de coordonner avec nos services d'affichage les emplacements réservés. J'ai été durant 3 ans son collaborateur et adjoint.
