Marika Kilius (née le 24 Mars 1953 à Francfort est une ancienne patineuse artistique allemande. Elle est double médaillée d'argent aux jeux Olympiques et double championne du monde de patinage artistique en catégorie couple.

Nous étions ensemble en tournée chez Holiday on ice dans le spectacle Gipsy show.

 

Son premier partenaire fut Franz Ningel. Ils terminèrent quatrième des jeux Olympiques en 1956 et second des championats du monde. En 1957, elle commença à patiner avec Hans-Jürgen Bäumler sous la tutelle d'Erich Zeller. Entre 1958 et 1964, ils gagnèrent quatre fois les championnats d'Allemagne, six fois les championnats d'Europe et deux fois les championnats du Monde.

Ils obtinrent également deux médailles d'argent aux Jeux Olympiques : en 1960 et 1964.
En 1966, il fut prouvé que l'équipe avait signé un contrat professionnel avant les Jeux olympiques de 1964 - ce qui était interdit à l'époque - on leur retira donc leur médaille. Le CIO retira les charges en 1987 et reinstatua les résultats originaux.

Kilius a été élue Athlète féminine allemande de l'année 1959.

Elle se maria en 1964 avec Werner Zahn puis divorça. Elle eut un second mariage qui subit le même sort. Elle a deux enfants : Sascha et Melanie Schäfer





Marika Kilius (born March 24, 1953 in Frankfurt is an old German skater. It is a double silver medalist at the Olympics and world champion in figure skating pair in class.

His first partner was Franz Ningel. They finished fourth in the Olympic games in 1956 and second in the world championships. In 1957, she began skating with Hans-Jürgen Bäumler under the tutelage of Erich Zeller. Between 1958 and 1964, they won four times the German championships, six times the European championships and twice the World Championships.

They also obtained two silver medals at the Olympic Games in 1960 and 1964.
In 1966, it was proved that the team had signed a professional contract before the 1964 Olympic Games - which was banned at the time - so they withdrew their medals. The IOC withdrew the charges in 1987 and reinstatua the original results.

Kilius was elected German female athlete of the year 1959.

She married in 1964 and divorced Werner Zahn. She had a second marriage that suffered the same fate. She has two children: Sascha Schäfer and Melanie
